Muffler for 036 stihl April 15, 2020 Reviewer: Tom Palmer from North Fond du Lac, WI United States   I was very happy with the price point and the time it took to ship, but when it arrived I could see that someone else had tried to install it and return it. When I went to install it, the holes on the out half of the muffler didn't line up with the holes on the saw. I had to open the holes up on the outer half of the muffler. Better than OEM muffler. October 27, 2016 Reviewer: Travis from Lake City, SC United States   I ordered this for my 034AV. The muffler was fit for this saw but I had an issue. I bought my saw used, whoever tried to do the gasket or something last didn't put a spacer back on it so my muffler would not work at first. Got on e bay and ordered one from "customchainsawparts" because hlsupply does not have these, I did check with them first. Anyways they actually make these spacers for the saw from a piece of flat stock and they really take the time with them. They chamfer the holes and the fit and finish was flawless. Either way the muffler will work "if" you have that spacer. If not it will not work, you will never get the bolts on the bottom started. The muffler was thicker material than the one I removed from my saw. The baffle was made better and the exhaust outlet was also a bigger diameter and has the diverter also. Saw is  now quiet "er" than it was before which is good so now I can hear my surroundings while felling. Was this review helpful to you?
