Mounting Bolts are Too Small December 17, 2020 Reviewer: Eric Rush from Hebo OR   Heads of Stihl engine mounting bolts are 11mm in diameter. New ones that come with this kit have smaller heads that span the ends of the metal inserts but do not reach beyond them far enough to grip the saw body. Engine will not seat securely. Threads are different, so you can't use the original bolts. I used 11mm washers with the new bolts. That works fine. The T25 driver that came with my saw is half a hair too large to fit the new bolts. My hardware-store T25 driver fit perfectly. I am delighted with this kit. The alternative was to spend hundreds of dollars on a new saw. Was this review helpful to you?

Great product and fast shipping May 24, 2019 Reviewer: Matt Carr from Frederick, CO United States   I did quite a bit of research on rebuilding my Stihl MS250 and found that the price and the parts were the best price around. Surprised Experiance March 21, 2016 Reviewer: Walter J. McCollum from Jackson, ME United States   After watching a couple of Donboys rebuild videos on youtube I decided to attempt my ms250 repair on my own. I priced out new chainsaws and was shocked at the pricing and a little afraid of the new emissions requirements.  Anyway, the build went well. The only problem was a bolt holding the ground wires to the cylinder head was a different size and thread.  I was lucky to have a European bolt kit to find the proper size.  I used the saw for one hour after I broke it in slowly.  Motor is running fine.
