Meteor brand Nikasil plated cylinder assembly. Made in Italy.
Highest quality aftermarket kit. This is the closest to OEM you will find.
Fits: Stihl 044, MS440 chainsaw
Includes: cylinder, piston, rings, wrist pin, cir clips. 50mm bore with 12mm pin.
Replaces OEM part: 1128 020 1227
*Older 044 chainsaws made before serial number X29 382 283 have a 10mm wrist pin. There are a few rare chainsaws that are after that serial number that also have a 10mm wrist pin. Please verify your pin size before ordering.

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it isn't as good as OEM. But if you can't justify spending 3x as much then this is the only aftermarket cylinder I would consider using.

Haven’t installed it yet but I have inspected it when it arrived. They are packaged well to prevent shipping damage. I have used many Meteor top ends and have always had great success and performance out of them with no modifications needed. The closest thing to OEM that you can buy.

Everything looks high quality, I have measured the parts with a caliper and all seem to be in spec and both the cylinder and piston have a nice finish with not blemishes. The Caber rings are a plus. I will update once I get the saw up and running.
